Basement Floor Staining & Resurfacing in Metro Atlanta
Turn a Bare Basement Slab Into a Room You Love
Most basements start as plain gray concrete. JP Concrete Creations takes the floor you already have and turns it into a finished space: a game room, a home theater, a family room, or a home office. We stain, resurface, and seal existing basement concrete, so you get a beautiful floor without tearing anything out or pouring new concrete.
Artist James Peters, owner and designer, is on every job from start to finish. He assists with color and design so the floor fits the room and the way you want to use it, drawing on 20+ years of hands-on experience.
Because basement work happens indoors and out of the heat, summer is one of the best times to finish the floor you use all year. Call Laura to set up a free estimate and design.

How We Finish a Basement Floor
Every basement is a little different. James looks at your slab first, then walks you through the plan and the look before any work begins.
- Free estimate and design. Call Laura to set up a time for your free in-home estimate. James assesses the floor and helps you pick a color and look.
- Floor prep. We clean, repair, and grind the slab as needed. Painted floors get the old coating removed so the new finish bonds to bare concrete.
- Stain or resurface. We apply stain, a micro-topping, or an overlay by hand to create the finish you chose.
- Seal. We seal the floor for a durable, consistent finish that cleans up with routine sweeping and a damp mop.

Basement Floor FAQs
Can you stain or resurface my existing basement floor?
Yes. Working with the basement slab you already have is exactly what we do. James preps and repairs the concrete, then applies stain, a micro-topping, or an overlay so you get a fresh, finished floor without tearing anything out or pouring new concrete.
My basement floor is painted. Can you still work with it?
Yes, but painted floors take extra prep. Old paint has to be ground down so the new finish can bond to bare concrete. James will look at your floor during the free estimate and tell you exactly what it needs.
How long does a finished basement floor last?
When it is properly prepped and sealed, a stained basement floor lasts for decades. James creates finishes meant to be admired for 20+ years, and we have used the same proven products the whole time.
What looks can you create for a basement?
Our stains and textures can look like stone, slate, tile, marble, or leather, in warm browns, grays, deep charcoals, or custom colors. James is a color pro and is happy to help you choose a look that fits the room.
Is summer a good time to do my basement?
It is one of the best. Basement and interior work happens indoors and out of the heat, so summer is an easy time to transform the floors you use year round while your outdoor projects wait for cooler weather.
